After wrapping up her first ever drama, "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," rookie actress Lee Joo Young is slowly making herself known as the newest "girl crush" in the entertainment industry.
The 24-year-old actress took the role of Lee Sun Ok in the come-of-age drama, sharing the small screen with actors Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk. During a photo shoot for InStyle magazine, the rising celebrity shared how she managed to adjust for the MBC drama.
"It was my first drama so I needed a lot of time to adjust. Midway through the series, I was still wondering whether I was playing the role well. I think I've completely adapted now. In the end, I still have a lot of regrets," she said as per Soompi.
Before she played as Lee Sung Kyung's best buddy in "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," Lee Joo Young has brought her acting prowess into the big screen for "A Quiet Dream."
The rookie actress named "The Eternal Theme of Humanity" as the most memorable project for her, stating that it was a big opportunity for her to show her talent in acting.
"I played my role as Gong Ye Ri with great care. It was a big role that I had a great desire to portray compellingly and had great affection for," Lee Joo Young shared.
When asked about her ideal project, the actress shared she would love to play a role that suits her personality and values.
Many viewers were impressed on Lee Joo Young's acting in "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, where she staged a boyish personality. Despite the low ratings, the Lee Sung Kyung starrer drama captured the hearts of the viewers for its storyline and popular dialogues.

The model-turned-actress even shared the cast members turned emotional after filming the final episode of the drama series. Lee Sung Kyung added she could not even watch the ending because of crying.
