The tenth chapter of the "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" takes shape as its completes the manga adaptation of the anime movie. While it takes place in the world of Naruto, it's clear that his son will take a different path as the latest chapter points out.
Chapter 10 Recap
The pivotal chapter 10 of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" finally takes the manga out of the movie adaptation. Available in Manga Stream, the chapter initially concludes the fight against Momoshiki as Sasuke helps Naruto up from the ground. While calling on Boruto to get down, time stood still as Momoshiki makes his appearance as time stood still.
Boruto's last opponent warns him of his status as someone who has killed a god will no longer live normally. He is also warned about his fate especially his blue eyes that could lead him to "lose everything." Sasuke felt the presence but did not elaborate after Naruto's inquiry.
Going back to the village, everyone seems to be in their place although Boruto is seen in a different light. Shinki, before going back to their Hidden Sand Village, notes that he cannot beat Momoshiki even he is allowed by Gaara to fight.
The chapter ends with Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki going out on a mission. Boruto reveals that he has no plans in becoming a Hokage but would rather be like Sarada's father. Before leaving for the mission, Boruto removes the bandage in his hand revealing a diamond mark.
Chapter Reactions and Predictions
The Reddit reaction on the latest chapter is mostly positive as the manga clearly separates itself from Naruto's storyline. However, it's quite ominous from the start as Boruto declares he wants to be just like Sasuke and he's actually experiencing something similar to the popular character in the manga. Right off the bat, he now has a mark just like Sasuke's cursed seal in the early days of the manga/anime.
But there are a lot of factors that could make Boruto a lot different compared to Naruto. The modern technology that enhances chakra, more characters in the past called for more action and even Sasuke getting in action to train his rival's son could change the storyline for good.
