It is worth noting that the Capcom 1989 horror game "Sweet Home" which inspired the original "Resident Evil" in 1996 had several similarities. These similarities includes the plot going to an abandoned house, a paranormal female presence in the house, and a tragic tale involving a family that once live there.
The upcoming horror game may be returning to an even deeper roots than originally imagined, Shacknews revealed. It was revealed that "Resident Evil 7" is entirely different from its predecessor action-oriented combat game "Resident Evil 6," since the approach will be more of a horror grounded atmosphere.
"Resident Evil 7" is set to release worldwide on January 24, 2017. The game will be available in Japan two days after its worldwide release.
