Fans to expect transformation in Crayon Pop’s comeback, agency reveals

South Korean girl group Crayon Pop has recently announced their return to the entertainment scene after taking a break for more than a year. For their comeback offering to the fans, the band’s talent management agency Chrome Entertainment reveals that the group will be having a complete transformation.

“In order to upgrade their image from being known as helmet representatives, everything received a complete renewal. This includes the external album, the part distribution, and Ellin’s return as a rapper,” Chrome Entertainment stated as quoted by Soompi.

The company added: “The title track “Du Dum Chit” combines the latest trendy beats with an old school aspect, and will be a song that is loved by a wide range of audiences.”

Upon their return, Crayon Pop will be releasing their first full album “Evolution Pop_Vol. 1” which is composed of 8 songs in total, All Kpop reported. The group’s title track “Du Dum Chit” will be released today.

Meanwhile, band member Ellin has recently revealed in an interview that she will be participating in Mnet's survival program “Unpretty Rapstar”. According to the rapper: "I just wanted to show a different side of myself".

Crayon Pop made their debut in the entertainment industry in 2012 with 5 members namely Geummi, Ellin, Choa, Way and Soyul. Five months after they were introduced to the public, the group released their first digital single "Dancing Queen".

Some of the band’s famous songs include "Saturday Night," "Bar Bar Bar," and "Uh-ee." Crayon Pop also had their own web series titled “Crayon Pop TV.”
