It's been four years since the release of "Diablo 3" and fans are itching to get another game if or when it comes out. Blizzard Entertainment is rumored to announce the fourth installment in the series at the upcoming BlizzCon 2016 event.
The convention will be going on from Nov. 4 to 5, and "Diablo's" game developer and producer might use that event to unveil upcoming projects, including "Diablo 4." However, according to Yibada, internal issues from within the company might cause a delay in production.
Some of the prominent creative minds behind the "Diablo" franchise have packed up and left Blizzard Entertainment to pursue other careers in other companies. This might even cause the game studio to cancel the fourth installment, making "Diablo 3" the last of its series. If "Diablo 4" would still be pushing through with its plans, a large considerable amount of time and effort would be needed as Blizzard would have to match the quality of game's predecessors.
In the meantime, fans can hope and speculate on what to expect from the fourth game. Game Ranx explained that fans would hope for better and more efficient social features. That's one thing that the "Diablo" series lacked since it became more interactive online; it would be worth the innovation if Blizzard actually polished that.
Other speculated added features in the proposed fourth installment could include improved player hub customization (which was introduced in Diablo 3), better game stash to properly manage and increase item space, and a new weapon and armor equipping system. One important thing that Blizzard could consider is that they should focus less on the marketplace that forces players to spend a lot time trading for the best items.
Fans would just have to wait and see if there will be anything, even hints of the game, announced at the convention.
