A familiar face will soon return as the newest star of the upcoming "The Bachelor." Cheerleader and model Nick Viall, who is known for his participation during the 10th and 11th seasons of "The Bachelorette," is confirmed to be newest bachelor of the upcoming season.
It can be remembered that Viall created a scene when he admitted he had intimate activity with "The Bachelorette" Andi Dorfman, who ended up choosing Josh Murray after the 10th season. In the following season of "The Bachelorette," the 35-year-old model failed to win the heart of Kaitlyn Bristowe who picked Shawn Booth over Viall.
After being the runner-up for both seasons of "The Bachelorette," Viall also participated in the recently-ended "Bachelor In Paradise" Season 3, ABC reported. During the "Bachelor In Paradise: After Paradise" live show, it was announced that Viall will star the upcoming "The Bachelor" 2017.
When asked about why they have chosen Viall to star the next season, "The Bachelor" host Chris Harrison said they consider him as the "most deserving and most sincere" to take on the role.
"I've certainly had the practice. I'm definitely ready for it - I'm very excited," Viall said after the announcement, as per US Magazine.
Meanwhile, the announcement of Viall as the newest star of "The Bachelor" was a shock for the fans of the dating game show. Most of them expected Luke Pell to star the new season, while others thought one of Chase McNary, Robby Hayes and Wells Adams will take on the role as the newest bachelor.
"At the end of the day when we were discussing all of the candidates, and Luke and Chase were definitely on the board, it just got down to that final question of, "Who's the most deserving? Who is the most sincere? Who would we watch time and time again?" You know, really coming on the show to fall in love and just come off short each and every time." Harrison said.
The host also added the upcoming "The Bachelor" will be the most dramatic season having Viall in the dating game show. Watch out for Viall in "The Bachelor" starting Jan. 2, 2017 on ABC.
