Marvel's iconic hero Spider-Man will be returning once more in an all-new animated show in Disney XD. Fans would be overjoyed to see another adaptation of the web-slinging action hero before the release of the next movie.

Marvel will be bringing the focus back on the teenage life of Peter Parker as they plan to release "Marvel's Spider-Man" on television for Disney XD, as stated by USA Today. Disney XD vice president Marc Buhaj made a statement saying that the show is intended to actually replace "Ultimate Spider-Man" on the network, and is set to bring viewers "a fresh take of the beloved classic" for the franchise.

Buhaj further stated that the web-slinging arachnid hero is one of "the biggest action [heroes] in the world." He even added that "he is an iconic character whose duality makes him both relatable and aspirational for the Disney XD audience."

According to Polygon, "Robot Chicken" creator Kevin Shinick will helm the series and plans on focusing on the comedic aspects of Marvel's web-slinging action hero. Unlike the previous show "Ultimate Spider-Man," which already featured Peter Parker being a known superhero among the populace, this new show will actually center on the hero getting used to his powers and also getting through high school as well.

Although the upcoming "Marvel's Spider-Man" has been announced, there has not been further news on its premiere date. "Ultimate Spider-Man" is coming to a close with its fourth and final season in January next year. There will be a final chapter called "Graduation Day" that's divided into two episodes. Here, Spider-Man will team up with his friends to stop the villain Doctor Octopus and his Sinister Six to save the day.

In other news, the next movie in the franchise "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be premiering on Jul. 7, 2017.
