"Mob Psycho 100" recently ended its run after 12 episodes of fantastic scenes featuring mind-bending, telekinetic powers of Mob, Reigen and everyone around them. Fans are eagerly waiting for its returning and it looks like the anime is set to return even if there are no formal announcements made.
Made by the same creator of "One Punch Man," "Mob Psycho 100" has also seen relative success on its first season. The first season review of Kotaku praises the animation style and material although it also notes that its humor may not be the same as the extremely popular "One Punch Man." Nevertheless, the review is still hopeful for the follow-up season of the increasingly popular character.
"Mob Psycho 100" is an anime based on the manga of the same name. The story revolves around Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama, a student with powerful psychic powers but chose not to use them to its full extent due to dangerous consequences. After 12 episodes, the anime has covered multiple story arcs and fifty chapters.
Reddit posts for the possible follow-up of the anime is also optimistic. Even though the anime is not as popular compared to "One Punch Man" it poses a very interesting storyline because Mob is not the only one with ESPs. The dreamlike animation sequences and the upcoming storyline about Mob and the gang should make the second season very interesting.
Should the second season cover the same number of chapters, Mob and Reigen will face bigger adventure as psychic detectives. The duo solves urban legends as they battle different types of ghosts and they often find themselves winning against the challenges in the urban legend.
As of this writing, the manga is already on chapter 97 and a new chapter is weekly. There should be more than enough materials for the studio to work on for another 12 episodes for next season.
"Mob Psycho 100" is already gaining in popularity in manga and anime. The recently concluded season one of the anime is considered a success with mixed reviews. The upcoming season should feature more adventure for Mob and Reigen as they go out to solve more mysteries.
