After two seasons, Jane finally handed her V-card to the lucky guy, Michael, in the latest episode of CW's critically-acclaimed comedy-drama "Jane The Virgin". The newlyweds consummated their nuptials with a passionate night in their new home. This has been the most awaited moment of fans of the show, like how the hell would Jane remain a virgin, if she already gave birth to a baby and got married.
The show opened with the couple discussing to finally do the pleasurable deed but the audience was teased by a flashback of the events two days earlier. It was shown that it was not Jane who cannot do the deed. This time, it was Michael. They are still staying chaste, since Michael’s doctor told them last episode that he still cannot have sex while he still recuperating from his gunshot wound.
After getting the green light from Michael’s doctor to finally do it, he and Jane sprinted to their new house to have a little privacy. “Trust me, it’s not gonna take long,” Michael promised Jane in the elevator. However, to their surprise, they found Rogelio and a team of interior decorators already in the house, all ready to revamp the place.
Out of desperation, Michael suggested that he and Jane take it out back to the shed, but Jane exhasparated stating that she is not that desperate. “I am not having sex for the first time in a shed!”
They waited patiently for the decorators to clear out. But Xiomara and Alba then barged in to interrupt the two lovers. Jane and Michael then agreed to try again later on, after Jane finishes writing on her thesis. Jane interviewed Alba for her romance novel, using the webcam on her laptop. Later on that night, Jane and Michael finally found some alone time and hopped into bed together.
Jane was nervous, like all first timers did. When they were about to do it, the Narrator popped in saying, “Friends, I can’t show you what happened next, but…” And then the audience saw a cartoon rocket ship with Jane and Michael inside blasting off into the sky.
Afterwards, Jane discovered upon opening her laptop that the recording of Alba she sent to her writing advisor is actually a sex tape of her and Michael’s first time carnal knowledge. She actually accidentally sat on the computer and turned on the webcam before she gets pounded by her husband. While the professor was a little scandalized, she quickly observed that Jane’s virginity must have been the explanation.
“That’s what’s been missing from your writing. Romance without sex is just… fantasy stuff.”
Thereafter, Jane tried to get in touch with her inner seductress while being helped by a vision of Alba’s evil sister Cecilia, also played by Gina Rodriguez, and rev things up with Michael. But it did not work so Jane decided to stop pushing. But a nun version of Cecilia reminded her, “Sexual pleasure is not the most important thing. What’s important is the connection between two souls.”
Michael then stormed off after finding out that Jane told Lina about their sexual problems. Jane then went to Xiomara crying, saying that she is feeling conflicted about losing her virginity.
“Like I lost something… like a part of my identity.”
Xiomara then told her daughter that she actually gained something, though. “You’re just starting out. You’ll get there.” Jane came home and heard Michael listening to porn. But Michael was really watching their sex tape, trying to analyze where he went wrong. Together, Jane and Michael found things on the tape that Jane actually liked which then the cartoon rocket ship heads back into orbit. This time though, Jane’s after sex glow looked authentic.
