Preview

Los Angeles is on a three-game losing slide after their opening-game win over the Houston Rockets. Jordan Clarkson continues to have a strong season coming off the bench while starting point guard D'Angelo Russell has been mercurial so far.

Their last game was a 115-108 loss to the Indiana Pacers at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Tuesday night, as per the Los Angeles Times.

Substitute guards Lou Williams and Clarkson led the Lakers with 19 and 15 points as the starters struggled against the Pacers during the game. Russell was only in for 19 minutes because of foul trouble and only scored 11 points on 3-for-10 field goal shooting including a 0-for-4 stint from beyond the arc.

Veteran forward Luol Deng had 10 points and six boards for the Hollywood squad in only 21 minutes of playing time.

Head coach Luke Walton complimented his squad's energy in the second half but admitted that they must sustain it for the full 48 minutes if they want to win.

"We did a phenomenal job of coming back in the second half and we started playing with the effort and energy that we need to play the full game with, and at the end of the game anything came happen," Walton said.

Meanwhile, the Hawks remained unbeaten after three games this season with a 106-95 trouncing of the Sacramento Kings on Monday, via Fansided.

All five starters of head coach Mike Budenholzer scored in double figures in a balanced offensive attack against DeMarcus Cousins and company.

Dwight Howard led the team in scoring with 18 points while also hauling down 11 rebounds and swatting away four shots. Paul Millsap had a great all-around game with 13 points, 14 boards, and eight assists.

The starting backcourt tandem of Dennis Schroeder and Kyle Korver had 17 points each while small forward Kent Bazemore netted 11 points.

Prediction

Another dominant win by the more experienced Hawks. Clarkson will continue to play big but it will not be enough for the maturing Lakers.
