GFRIEND member SinB collapsed on stage during a performance at the Chonbuk National University in Jeonju on Nov. 3, Thursday. She was later rushed to the hospital, leaving fans worried about her health.
SinB was the headline act for the evening and everything was going well until the singer put her hand to her head, suggesting that she was experiencing some sort of pain. The 18-year-old broke out in a cold sweat and started having trouble maintaining her balance before collapsing onto the stage floor.
The performance was cut short as fellow GFRIEND members rushed to help SinB and escort her off stage. The incident has raised concerns among fans, who believe GFRIEND's managing agency Source Music is over exhausting the girls.
"SinB didn't look too good even before they went on stage for the event," the agency said in a statement obtained by AllKPop. "After she went on stage, she looked dizzy and was in a cold sweat, so while singing, she sat down.
The label added that at the doctors found nothing wrong with SinB's health and she will be able to carry on with normal promotions as planned. In a live V App broadcast on Friday afternoon, SinB said that she felt dizzy during the performance but she is fine now.
This comes a month after Source Music announced that GFRIEND member Umji would be taking a temporary break from promotional activities in order to focus on her health. The singer suffered a sprain in her Sartorius muscle, located in her left thigh, which made it difficult for her to talk or use her knees.
"Following the doctor's advice that both rest and treatment are needed for recovery, Source Music is placing Umji's health as a first priority and focusing on her treatment, Source Music said in a statement to Soompi. "Until Umji heals, GFRIEND will be promoting as a five member group with Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, and SinB."
