Preview

New Orleans suffered their eighth consecutive defeat to start the new season as they fell to the Sacramento Kings, 102-94, on the road at the Golden 1 Center, as per the Sacramento Bee.

It was a club-record worst start to a season for the Pelicans and head coach Alvin Gentry and his team is keen on snapping it in this game versus the Bucks.

Anthony Davis once again had a great game to lead the squad with 34 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and four shot blocks. He shot 14-for-22 from the field, but it was still not enough to tide the team to a win.

Starting shooting guard E'Twaun Moore was the only other starter in double figures with 13 points on 6-for-10 shooting. Point guard Tim Frazier tallied nine points, five boards, and nine assists in a promising display.

Off the bench, rookie Buddy Hield contributed 14 points and two rebounds in 22 minutes of action.

The Pelicans continue to play without starters Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans and Quincy Pondexter, which is said to be one of the main reasons for their struggles this season.

Meanwhile, the Bucks have won three straight games until it was snapped by their 86-75 overtime loss to the Dallas Mavericks last Sunday also on the road at the American Airlines Center, Yahoo Sports reported.

Milwaukee's offense has struggled in the entire match. Jabari Parker top-scored with 16 points. He also had seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Team leader Giannis Antetokounmpo had a bad night with 11 points, shooting 4-for-12 from the field including a 1-for-5 stint from beyond the arc. He also had seven rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocked shots.

Veteran center Greg Monroe continues to come off the bench. He chipped in 14 points, 12 boards, and three steals in 29 minutes of play.

Prediction

Davis is the only effective player for Coach Gentry at the moment and it seemed like it would be a long shot to predict that they can earn their first win in this game. The Bucks are on a roll prior to the Dallas loss and they could recover their form in this home match. A Milwaukee victory is predicted.
