"Supergirl" producer Andrew Kreisberg said that the rumors about who will play the One Cyborg Superman are off-tangent.

In an interview, Kreisberg said that the villain Cyborg Superman is not going to be played by Tyler Hoechlin, TV Line reported. He went to say that while they would love for Heochlin to return, the current direction of the plot is incompatible with it.

"We'd love to have him back, but right now, we're still trying to figure out what we're going to do for the rest of the season. We loved working with him, he's amazing in the part and we'd be lucky to get him back," he explained.

DC confirmed that the villain will make an appearance in the episode of "Supergirl" titled, "The Darkest Place." According to the official synopsis, Kara (Melisssa Benoist) will come face-to-face with a cybernetic enemy in her pursuit to rescue Mon-El (Chris Wood) from Cadmus, Screen Rant reported.

In a twist, it was revealed that the evil Cadmus scientist is none other than Lena Luthor's mother. It is not yet clear on how she will factor in the existence of Cyborg Superman and its identity.

In the comic books, Project Cadmus began as a DNA project founded by a group of wartime newsies. Over time, the project produced superpowered DNAliens that combined the DNA of Superman and Lex Luthor that eventually gave birth to Superboy.

In "Supergirl" fans theorize that the Cyborg Superman villain could be her adoptive father Jeremiah Danvers (played by Dean Cain) as Kreisberg teased that, "The Jeremiah that we see might not be exactly what people expect."
