Preview

Cleveland began their title-defense this season with a six-game winning streak. However, their run was snapped by the Atlanta Hawks, 110-106, right at their own home court of Quicken Loans Arena on Tuesday night, as per Cleveland.com.

The Hawks defeated the Cavs for the first time in 12 meetings as it also ended Cleveland's reign as the only NBA team without a loss this season, which was the franchise's longest season-opening winning run in 40 years.

Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with 29 points and four assists while Kevin Love had 24 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. LeBron James chipped in 23 points, nine boards, five assists, and three steals in a losing effort. James scored 21 of his points in the second half.

Veteran power forward Channing Frye came off the bench to fire 13 points and grab seven rebounds.

The Big Three did play heavy minutes for head coach Tyronn Lue, but the defending champs were still not able to pull off the win at home.

Atlanta led by two points with only 25 seconds left, but a corner jumper from Kent Bazemore sealed the win for the visitors.

Meanwhile, the Wizards snapped a two-game losing slide as they routed an undermanned Boston Celtics squad, 118-93, also at their home court of Verizon Center on Wednesday, SB Nation reported.

Otto Porter Jr. scored a career-high 34 points on 14-for-19 field goal shooting, including a 3-for-5 stint from beyond the arc, to lead Washington to only their second win so far this season. He also had 14 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and three blocks in a highly impressive performance.

John Wall contributed 19 points, three boards, and seven assists while Bradley Beal continued his struggles, scoring only three points on 1-for-8 shooting from the field. Starting center Marcin Gortat had 13 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.

Prediction

The Cavs have won five of their last seven road games while the Wizards are 2-2 in their four home games this season. Cleveland is as dangerous on the road and is predicted to win this match in lopsided fashion.
