Disney on Monday dropped the first official trailer of Beauty and the Beast, a remake of the 1991 classic animated fairy tale starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens.

After months of teasing fans with first look images and posters, Disney finally released a two-minute trailer of "Beauty and the Beast." As every fan might have expected, the first footage of the live-action pic is a callback to the classic animated film. Emma Watson stuns as the innocent and pure Belle, while the Beast (Dan Stevens) embraces his soft side despite of his monstrous exterior.

The teaser also highlights the role of the iconic talking objects inside the castle such as Mrs. Potts (Emma Thompson), Cogsworth (Ian McKellan) and Lumiere (Ewan McGregor).

"Look at her," Lumiere asks the Beast.

"What if she is the one? The one who breaks the spell?"

Visually, the trailer has that cinematic impact of an animated feature film. The CGI effects applied to the beast and the anthropomorphic objects were a hit. The production design and the actor's costumes are both adapted to film beautifully.

Aside from the great visual effects, another stand-out from this latest Disney offering is the musical scoring. The classic theme song of "Beauty and the Beast" that plays in the background adds to that nostalgic vibe that moviegoers usually get from a remake like this one.

Directed by Bill Condon, "Beauty and the Beast" also stars Kevin Kline as Belle's dad Maurice, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as Lefou, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette and Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe.

"Beauty the Beast" opens in theatres on March 17, 2017.
