In a press conference for his upcoming drama titled "Strange Recipe Drama The Chef Born in the Year of the Cat," Lee Ki Woo had the chance to talk about his relationship with Lee Chung Ah and how he tried to make her jealous through his past dramas.

"I try to make Lee Chung Ah jealous whenever I'm acting, but it doesn't work out well. This time I was away for a long time so I was looking forward to it, but she just went on with her business," Ki Woo said as per Allkpop.

The actor added they managed to communicate with each other despite being in Vietnam for the filming of "Strange Recipe Drama The Chef Born in the Year of the Cat." Ki Woo even said his girlfriend understands his job, knowing that they are still in the same industry.

"The wifi at the hotel was strong, so we were able to keep in touch often through SNS. As an actress herself, she knows that filming overseas in Vietnam is more difficult than filming in Korea, so she encouraged me," Ki woo narrated.

Ki Woo and Chung Ah started seeing each other in 2013, two years after working together on "Flower Boy Ramen Shop," Drama Fever reported. Reports claimed the two artists remained friends after the series, which later turned into an intimate relationship.

The actor also revealed he lives in the same neighborhood as Chung Ah. "In the beginning, whenever Lee Chung Ah said "Let's meet sometime in the neighborhood," I misinterpreted that gesture and thought that she was interested in me," he said.

Ki Woo later realized Chung Ah was just being friendly; however, he pursued the actress and asked her out, which made things great for the both of them.
