In an episode of "Lee Seung Yeon's Without You 2," Mina talked about her relationship with Ryu Philip, who is younger than the K-pop diva for 17 years.
According to Allkpop, Mina expressed how excited she is for the homecoming of Ryu Philip, who is currently serving his mandatory military service. "We've been dating for 1 year and 5 months. He'll be discharging from the military in May," she said.
Mina went on, "He's returning home, and I'm a bit overwhelmed. I heard their minds tend to change when they return home but I think we are okay as of now."
The 43-year-old K-pop diva also revealed she often acts as the immature one in the relationship. "My boyfriend was born in 1989 but I sometimes get yelled at for being immature. I try to live young."
Koreaboo reported Mina and Ryu Philip made their relationship public in August 2015. Reports revealed the couple first met at a birthday party of a common friend. Mina and Ryu Philip reportedly became couple before the latter was enlisted.
The relationship was confirmed by Mina's party, who revealed the diva and the idol have been seeing each other since June 2015.
"Ryu Philip is in the middle of his military service, and she plans to wait for him. Please show a lot of warm love and supports for the two," a representative said.
Mina was branded as "Miss World Cup" after she was spotted at the 2002 FIFA World Cup wearing a "Be The Reds!" bandanna and Korean flag as skirt. In the same year, the K-pop diva released her first album titled "Rendezvous" and continued to make a mark in the industry.
