Despite "Fallout 4" being Bethesda's latest craze in the modding community, its predecessor "Fallout: New Vegas" still lives on with a new total conversion mod known as "The Frontier."

According to the modders' official website, "The Frontier" will be having a new set of weapons, monsters, and environments, as well as additional features like custom-voiced characters, drivable vehicles, space environments, and even weapon modifications.

The story for "Fallout's" total conversion mod "The Frontier" will revolve around the General Blackthorn of the New California Republic. Here, he attempts to oust President Kimball due to his seemingly poor leadership in the struggle against the Legion. As result, Blackthorn has been exiled to the Frontier, where he must fight back whatever stands in his way back to the Mojave Desert to satisfy his vengeance and claim what was rightfully his.

According to Gamespot, new assets from "The Frontier" have been created for "Fallout: New Vegas." Many elements, like the post-apocalyptic styled vehicles, may have taken inspirations from franchises like "Mad Max," while the sci-fi elements were inspired from "Firefly."

Numerous new environments were seen in the trailer such as snow covered landscapes, space stations, ruined cities, and more. Weapons were added from the total conversion mod such as real-world looking automatic rifles, sci-fi energy rifles and such. Additional monsters were seen as well like the ghoul-like entities seen in the majority of the trailer and this alien-looking monster with tentacles for a mouth.

"The Frontier," the new total conversion mod for "Fallout: New Vegas," has no exact release dates yet.
