"Teen Wolf" star Victoria Moroles joins "Soul Surfer" actress AnnaSophia Robb and "Orphan" actress Isabelle Fuhrman in the Lionsgate supernatural mystery thriller "Down a Dark Hall." "Buried" director Rodrigo Cortes is being helmed on it.
Moroles will play one of the five teenage girls attending the school in "Down a Dark Hall," Variety reported. Meanwhile, Robb is set to star in a leading role as Katherine 'Kit' Gordy and Fuhrman in an undisclosed role.
"Down a Dark Hall" is based on the teen chiller novel of the same name by "I Know What You Did Last Summer" author Lois Duncan. The book was first published in January 1974 under Little, Brown and Company.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it is described as a drama that swings into a supernatural mystery. It follows a troubled teen Gordy with a haunted past. She is committed to a mysterious school Blackwood for gifted but disturbed girls. She then uncovers its hidden and horrifying purpose.
The script of "Down a Dark Hall" is penned by Michael Goldbach and Chris Sparling. It is financed by Nostromo Pictures with the participation of Atresmedia One. It is produced by "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer, her Fickle Fish Films partner Meghan Hibbett, Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen of Temple Hill, and Adrian Guerra of Nostromo Pictures alongside Isaac Klausner of Temple Hill and Nuria Valls of Nostromo Pictures to execute produce.
Moroles is currently seen as Hayden Romero in the MTV hit series "Teen Wolf" which will be ending after its Season 6 next year as announced in July. She also has a recurring role on the Disney series "Liv And Maddie." She is represented by Reel Talent Management and C.E.S.D.
Robb is best known for her roles as a young Carrie Bradshaw in "The Carrie Diaries" and as one-armed surfer and shark-attack survivor Bethany Hamilton in 2011's "Soul Surfer." She appears on the PBS drama "Mercy Street" and stars in the Trudie Styler's directorial debut drama "Freak Show." She is repped by CAA, Untitled Entertainment, and Schreck Rose.
"Down a Dark Hall" is currently shooting in Barcelona and is expected to be in theaters on next year.
