Prince Harry's present girlfriend and "Suits" star, Meghan Markle, reminisce how she used to be just a "Deal or no Deal" girl as she poses for promo pictures holding a briefcase.
Markle, 25, was in her earlier 20s when she worked as a briefcase girl in "Deal or no Deal" back in 2006, during the game show's second season, Elle reported. She said it was something she did to make ends meet while auditioning and that it was something she prefers to forget. She used to work for the U.S. Embassy in Argentina before she ended up in "Deal or no Deal."
Working in the game show was a learning experience for her and it helped her realize what she is really supposed to do in her life. She said she never had the winning briefcase and that she was the unlucky number 26. Somehow, no one ever chose that number, which made the experience more miserable, according to her.
She said she would be standing there for the entire show in her very uncomfortable and cheap five-inch heels. Since nobody picked her number, she usually didn't get the chance to sit down.
Now, 10 years after being in that game show, she has her own popular show, "Suits." She said she never thought that she would be starring in her own show, Vanity Fair reported. She recalled that moment when she was in Rwanda as an advocate for UN women, when she was e-mailed about winning the BAFTA Awards. It was unbelievable for her how her life shifted from a missionary work in Rwanda to receiving an award in a glamorous dress.
She also put up her own website called Tig, where she writes entries to inspire and empower women. Now that she has experienced a fairy tale story, British press would get excited about her saying that great opportunity includes responsibility. She said that responsibility is not about wearing glass slippers and is all about pushing beyond glass ceilings.
Speaking of fairy tales, her life would definitely change significantly as her relationship with Prince Harry develops. It wouldn't be easy for her to conduct interviews as a star as she continues to be with a Prince.
