‘Kuroko No Basket’ Season 4 news, updates & spoilers: Possible series cancellation, Spring 2017 movie release

"Kuroko No Basket" ended its third season in June 2015 and fans have been clamoring for a new season. However, no news have yet to be confirmed for the animated series' season 4. In fact, it is now being speculated that "Kuroko No Basket" season 4 might get canceled.

The studio behind this critically-acclaimed anime is Production IG. However, Production IG has not yet confirmed the release date of "Kuroko No Basket" season 4, Mobi Picker reported. The studio has been silent for quite some time now and this silence have made fans thinking that the future of the series is still uncertain.

While the fourth season is still hanging by the thread, the "Kuroko No Basket" movie is definitely on board with the animated franchise's official website revealing the visuals for the upcoming film release. Furthermore, the "Kuroko No Basket" or "Kuroko's Basketball" anime film is reportedly adopting the "Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game" manga, according to Anime News Network.

Anime News Network also revealed that "Kuroko's Basketball" film is slated for release in 2017. The upcoming film will serves as a sequel to the television series and will feature the showdown between the members of the Generation of Miracles, in addition to Kuroko and Kagami, and an American team.

As of this writing, the release of "Kuroko's Basketball" season 4 is still in limbo, though it would be most likely to be in 2017. The film, however, is already an assurance with the production team has already revealed plans and visuals for the upcoming films. The film adaptation of "Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game" is set to be released on March 18, 2017.

"Kuroko's Baskteball" or also known in Japan as "Kuroko's No Basket", is a sports manga series adapted into an anime series. In 2013, "Kuroko's No Basket" manga became the third highest selling title in Japan with almost 9 million copies sold.
