This week's Famitsu has a six-page special feature on the upcoming Nintentdo 3DS game, "The Alliance Alive," FuRyu's new RPG and spiritual successor to "The Legend of Legacy." The feature had some additional information on what to expect from the game.
According to Nintendo Everything, "The Alliance Alive" follows a story in where the human world was invaded by the Demon Clan thousands of years ago and lost. As the world was split apart, what remains of the human world is now dominated by an oppressive caste system where the Demon Clan sits at the top of the hierarchy.
"The Alliance Alive" and its setting is based on the same world of "The Legend of Legacy." In this new game by FuRyu, the players start off in the Rain World, where the heroes here include Galil, Ursula, Barbarosa, and Renzo. Ursula's father Wyatt leads the Night Crow resistance group, whose hideout is somewhere in the Rain World capital, Svarna, and calls the heroes for an assignment.
Galil and Ursula get to explore their dungeon, which happens to be a closed museum, and confront one of the ruler-class from the Demon Clan named Glossa Radan.
Famitsu was able to give some tips on the gameplay:
- Step 1: Prepare for battle - set up formations and determine party character positions
- Step 2: Symbol encounter - an exclamation mark appears on enemy symbol when it notices the player; be advised that different monsters may appear from the same symbol
- Step 3: turn-based command battle - can determine party member actions without much hassle due to the system being turn-based
And other tips on trying to set up party formations:
- Point 1: put characters who excel in guarding on the front line
- Point 2: attackers should be placed on the back line and focus on attacking
- Point 3: as more characters join the party, more efficient formations will be unlocked
As players get to use the battle techniques consistently, the chances that "Awakening" will trigger will be increased, thus increasing the attack level of the technique (more damage/effects, etc.) or even giving players access to new techniques. One such example is that when players get to tap the "Punch" button repeatedly, they can already access other techniques like "One-Two Punch" or "Roundhouse Kick".
Gematsu was also able to do an overview of the main characters:
Galil - A boy who belongs to the "Night Crows" resistance. He is gentle, but very passionate at his core.
Ursula - A blonde-haired girl who belongs to the Night Crows. She has a refreshing personality and does not speak her true intentions. She is always manipulating Galil.
Barbarosa - A monster soldier who belongs to the Night Crows. She has sworn loyalty to Ursula's father, who once saved her life.
Viviana - The daughter of a noble Asmodian. She is a historian with a calm personality who has an interest in the human world
Ignace - An Asmodian and butler who works for Viviana. He seems to be an Asmodian that values discipline and class.
Rachel - A mercenary hired by the Magic Guild. She is very kind and the type of person to do something as soon as it comes to mind.
Renzo - A young man who belongs to the Night Crows. He is a well-informed person with an optimistic personality, but calm-staring eyes.
Gene - A magic user of the Magic Guild that is a subordinate of Asmodians. He looks at things from a wide perspective and doesn't act impulsively.

The latest issue of Famitsu showing more information on "The Alliance Alive" also showcased a duck-like robot called Swan Song, a "Motive Force Suit" developed by Tiggy.
