During a press conference for his drama series "Operation Love" held on Nov. 29, Lay candidly talked about his take on kiss scenes and explained his reasons for not liking them in dramas.
According to Soompi, the EXO member admitted he is a conservative man, hence, Lay finds it hard to understand the need to include intimate scenes in drama series.
"Maybe it's because I'm quite traditional and conservative, but having kiss scenes in dramas is a bit difficult for me to understand, especially because it's something you do in a relationship," Lay narrated.
The EXO member went on, "I don't think it's good for both sides. While it might be a psychological problem for me, I think there are a few dramas that overuse kiss scenes for no reason. I think it's a bit irresponsible and I find it hard to understand."
Given his stand about the matter, Lay said he has not done kiss scenes for his dramas. "If I did, it was usually just filmed to look like a real kiss scene," he added.
Meanwhile, Lay was featured in "SM the Artist," making him the first SM Entertainment artist to be introduced in the new series, Allkpop cited. The EXO member's video was released last week.
The 11-minute video featured Lay's talent in playing the piano, while talking to his fans. The EXO member said, "I'm thinking of making a song with the fans," asking the viewers to write their own lyrics under the comment section.
After that, Lay talked about newest album called "Lose Control." He also thanked his fans for their support in his debut as a solo artist.
