Preview

Los Angeles continues to play inconsistently so far this season, although the team has improved a lot under new head coach Luke Walton compared to the past couple of years. They are currently tied with the Portland Trail Blazers for eighth place in the Western Conference, 7.5 games behind the Golden State Warriors.

The Lakers have lost three of their last four matches with the most recent one ending in a 105-88 blowout loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on the road at the Smoothie King Center on Tuesday, as per the Los Angeles Times.

Lou Williams once again came off the bench to lead the squad with 16 points, three rebounds, and four assists. Julius Randle led the starters with a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards with three assists. Timofey Mozgov had 10 points and nine rebounds with two shot blocks.

The Lakers lost Nick Young just two minutes into the game with a strained Achilles tendon. He joins D'Angelo Russell in the team's injured list and both are not expected to be available in this game against the Bulls.

Meanwhile, Chicago continues to surprise their opponents this season. The team has won six of their last eight games and are third in the Eastern Conference behind powerhouse squads Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors.

The Bulls are coming off a 105-89 rout of the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center last Friday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler scored 26 points each to lead head coach Fred Hoiberg's side while Rajon Rondo, the third member of the "Three Alphas", had six points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists. Taj Gibson and Robin Lopez netted 12 and 10 points respectively and combined for 11 boards as the starting frontline.

Prediction

The Lakers are 3-6 in away games this season while the Bulls are almost unbeaten at home with a 4-1 record. A huge win for the Bulls is predicted as Los Angeles is undermanned without their starting backcourt.
