The first match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2016 Playoff will be played between Tamim Iqbal's Vikings and Darren Sammy-led Kings at historic Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Kings, which finished the preliminary round of premier league with twelve points from same numbers of matches, advanced to playoff after defending champions Comilla Victorians thrashed Rangpur Riders by eight runs on Sunday. Riders and Victorians have finished the fourth BPL season in fifth and sixth place. Vikings, on the other hand, among the first two teams to seal a spot in the final four.

The winner of eliminator game will take on loser of qualifier 1 at the same venue on Wednesday. Table topper Dhaka Dynamites will face second placed Khulna Titans in the qualifier 1 on Tuesday evening. The winner of qualifier 1, on the other hand, will directly enter into the final match of fourth season of Bangladesh Premier League.
