South Korean entertainment giant S.M. Entertainment has recently revealed that all lawsuits against their former talent Tao of the boy group EXO are still ongoing although the Chinese courts have dismissed the cases associated with the singer.

According to a statement released by the talent management agency, the lawsuits were dropped due to translation issues. However, they are planning to re-appeal the cases as soon as possible.

"The lawsuit in question is one of many ongoing lawsuits in China. As it's due to a translation issue, we plan to appeal immediately. This is unrelated to the lawsuit filed in South Korea. All the lawsuits related to Tao are still ongoing," S.M. stated as quoted by All KPop.

In January this year, S.M. declared that the company has filed lawsuits against their Chinese talents Tao, Kris, and Luhan after “violating their exclusive contracts by taking part in illegal promotions in China”. It added that in October 2015, a “temporary payment claim” was charged against Tao.

In November this year, Tao revealed in an interview on the Chinese talk show “Ke Fan Ting Qing” the hardships he had faced while under the management of S.M. According to the artist: "During a program playing basketball, I injured my ankle ligaments. At the time, I still worked hard because my fans were right there, but the label pressured me to continue on with my schedule even with the serious injury. I was willing to sacrifice for my team, but the limit comes when you go too far."

Meanwhile, Tao has recently won “Hottest Male Singer” award on the “2016 Tencent Star Awards”, All KPop reports. His pal Luhan, on the other hand, bagged the “All Around Asian Artist” while GOT7’s Jackson had received the “Star Variety”.
