The New Game Plus mode for "Dishonored 2" is getting closer to its release date, but PC owners can avail of the beta version of the mode now.

"Dishonored 2's" first free game update will be doing a lot of fixes for the game, as well as offer a new mode for the game called "New Game Plus." Here, players are allowed to start the entire game over after beating the game with either Emily or Corvo and give them "access to the full suite of abilities from both of the game's heroes," according to publisher Bethesda.

"If you've ever wanted to make higher-powered characters, now's your chance," said the game's creative director Harvey Smith. "If you've wanted to play Emily Kaldwin with Possession or Devouring Swarm, or Corvo Attano with Domino, now you can. We've been having fun with it here at Arkane Studios, and we hope you will too."

To add to the enhanced enjoyment of the new mode, all of the collected Runes and Bonecharm Traits from the players' first playthrough will carry over and they can even reassign the Runes try out unlocking different powers they want.

There will also be a mission select option coming out soon, as well as additional custom difficulty settings, according to Bethesda. It is reported that this second free update will come out sometime early 2017 like January.

The New Game Plus was announced back then in November, along with its official description:

"Whether you want to sneak around and never kill anyone, or leave a trail of blood and bodies in your wake, 'Dishonored 2' is all about letting you play your own way. With new non-lethal options, along with even more ways to fight and subdue your foes, 'Dishonored 2' is all about letting you be as improvisational as you like. There's even an option to play with no powers at all! Find out how 'Dishonored 2' embraces the 'play your way' philosophy with new gameplay and exclusive insights from the team at Arkane Studios."
