CBS' new legal drama offering, "The Good Fight," will premiere in two months on the network's digital platform, CBS All Access. Aside from being known as the spinoff of "The Good Wife," there are other interesting and intriguing details about this show that every fan of a legal drama should know about.

Here's everything we know so far:

1. Plot details

Following the events that happened on The Good Wife's series finale, "The Good Fight" will pick up a year later where an enormous financial scam has destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer, Maia Rindell, while simultaneously wiping out her mentor and godmother Diane Lockhart's savings. Forced out of Lockhart & Lee, they join Lucca Quinn at one of Chicago's pre-eminent law firms.

2. Who are the returning and new cast members?

Aside from Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo who will reprise their roles Diane Lockhart and Lucca Quinn, there are also familiar and new faces on board that are set to arrive on the spinoff.

New cast members include Rose Leslie, Paul Guilfoyle, Bernadette Peters, Erica Tazel and Justin Bartha. Sarah Steele will return as Eli's daughter, Melissa and Carrie Preston will return as eccentric lawyer, Elsbeth Tascioni.

3. The show will introduce a lesbian character

On "The Good Wife," viewers have known a couple of lesbian characters like Kalinda and Lana. In the spinoff, that element of storytelling will continue with the introduction of Rose Leslie's character, Maia.

In a report from Entertainment Weekly, it was revealed that Maia is in a relationship with Amy, a character played by Helene Yorke. Showrunner Robert King further shared that Amy is Maia's longtime girlfriend and also a lawyer herself.

4. The first official trailer teases a lot of suspense and more sexy legal drama

"Practicing the law, you don't go on instinct," Diane said on the clip.

She continued saying: "You wait, you listen and watch."

The first footage released gives audience that message that "The Good Fight" wants to level up their game when it comes to delivering a story that is fueled with intrigue, while also setting high-stakes arc for the characters.

"The Good Fight" premieres on Sunday, Feb. 17 on CBS All Access.
