In the latest injury report from the league, Portland Trail Blazers’ point guard Damian Lillard has a severe ankle injury which could make him sit out for three games. While Chris Paul is back on the starting lineup for the Clippers after hamstring injury and car accident.

Lillard was injured in the 90-110 loss against San Antonio Spurs on Friday, Dec. 23. He was limping as he walked to the sideline in the beginning of fourth quarter when Blazers was trailed by 18 points. Afterward, he never returned to court and missing the Monday night game against Toronto Raptors as the Blazers suffered their 20th losses.

According to ESPN, Lillard also missed the practice session on Tuesday and was sidelined in the second away game against Sacramento Kings. Fortunately, his X-Ray showed no structural damage to his ankle and he only suffered a severe spained in his left ankle.

The 26-year-old player is expected to return within 1-2 weeks ahead. In his absence, coach Terry Stotts switch shooting guard CJ McCollum to point guard position and played Allen Crabbe in shooting guard.

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, Paul and his teammate DeAndre Jordan was involved in a car accident last Tuesday as reported by TMZ. The accident happened in the Playa del Rey in the Westside Los Angeles. Paul and Jordan appeared to be uninjured after the accident, but one person was hospitalized.

Earlier last week, Paul suffered a strain in his left hamstring on Dec. 22 which made him missing three games. The accident was quite a shock for both Jordan and Paul, but they were able to play in the Wednesday night game against New Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

Both Paul and Jordan deliver their top performance, but the Clippers were unable to overpower the Pelicans and had their 12th defeat with 98-102 loss. They will continue their road trip to Houston on Friday night to play the Rockets.
