Japanese actor, Ryohei Suzuki, is about to star in a new TV series, "Inspector Zenigata," as he plays the role of justice Koichi Zenigata. The official release date of this show will hit two networks in Japan, Nippon TV and Hulu on February 10 and on Wowow on February 19, 2017.

"Inspector Zenigata" is based on a character from the hit manga story, "Lupin III," according to Crunchy Roll. This is not just going to be a drama series because the audience could also expect a lot of action and some sci-fi involved. Two directors will helm the director's seat and they are Taro Otani along with Hiroshi Iwamoto.

Other actors joining Suzuki are Atsuko Maeda, who is also one of Japan's famous pop singers from the group called AKB48, and Takahiro Miura, who recently played Seiji Hayami in the movie, Cutie Honey: Tears. Nippon TV is the primary network that this show will be on, but it could also be streamed via Hulu and Wowow on the dates mentioned earlier.

Meanwhile, Orgoglionerd reported that creators of the show are doing their best in promoting it before it airs early 2017. The character of Inspector Zenigata is not to be mistaken as Lupin III because he is not the thief in the story. As a refresher, Lupin III is kind of the modern day Robin Hood in Asia and Zenigata was the one who is trying to catch him with his not-so-vigilante act.

That said, Zenigata's role in the story would be recurring since he plays a huge part in the life of Lupin. Fans would find out if he would be able to catch him in the end because as the story goes, he never once succeeded in doing so, despite the fact that he is really good in doing his job as a detective. Stay tuned for more updates regarding this upcoming drama and action series.
