When Square Enix took its time in releasing "Final Fantasy XV," it was finally worth the wait once it finally came out. Now, fans are anticipating for another long-awaited sequel in one of studio's long running series, "Kingdom Hearts." Recent reports say that the sequel could include one special feature - that is, if fans want it.
While we still don't have a definite release date of the third installment of the series, we're still hopeful that it will be revealed following the release of "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue." The game is actually comprised of three separate parts which include the HD remake of "Kingdom Hearts 3D," the cinematic "Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover" and "Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth By Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage." The last part brings back Aqua from the previous "Birth By Sleep" title and introduces a new feature to the series.
Players who get to play "Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth By Sleep" can finally play around with character customizations, where they can search and obtain different trinkets for Aqua to try on. Players can decorate her head, shoulders and the rest of her body, as well as alter her costume pattern and color. This is a pretty neat feature despite that the game won't be a full "Kingdom Hearts" game.
Producer Tetsuya Nomura could attest to adding this in upcoming "Kingdom Hearts 3" game in an interview with Dengeki PlayStation (thanks to KH13).
"We knew we could insert that feature into the game this time," said Nomura. "But whether or not we can with [KHIII]...we have other priorities ahead of us so it depends on time, but we'll look at the reaction with [KH0.2] and consider it."
The producer did stress that the team would want to prioritize other features first but this would definitely be a good addition to a vast array of gameplay options possible for a saga like "Kingdom Hearts."
