The Spurs routed Eastern Conference contenders Toronto Raptors, 110-82, at their home court of AT&T Center on Tuesday night to bounce back from their previous loss to the Atlanta Hawks, as per ABC News.
Starting forwards Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge led head coach Gregg Popovich's squad with 25 and 23 points respectively. Leonard also produced four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three shot blocks while Aldridge had eight boards, six assists, and one block as well.
Veteran point guard Tony Parker chipped in 15 points, two rebounds, and eight assists in only 22 minutes of play.
San Antonio was able to contain All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry to a season-low six points en route to the win.
Meanwhile, the Nuggets lost their third straight game in a high-scoring affair with the Sacramento Kings, 120-113, also last Tuesday at the Pepsi Center, the Denver Post reported.
Danilo Gallinari top-scored for head coach Mike Malone's team with 24 points, four rebounds, and three assists with young big man Nikola Jokic backing him up with 18 points, seven boards, and five assists.
Starting shooting guard Gary Harris had 15 points shooting 3-for-4 from beyond the arch with three assists while Wilson Chandler chipped in 10 points, three boards, and two assists.
Off the bench, Jusuf Nurkic and Darrell Arthur netted 16 and 12 points respectively and have combined for nine rebounds.
Coach Malone was frustrated about his team's defense after the match, saying that they have the "worst defense in the NBA" and that it is a "huge concern" for him and the Nuggets coaching staff.
Prediction
The Spurs are excellent on the road with a 16-3 slate while the Nuggets are bad at home with a 7-10 record so far this season. An easy win for San Antonio is predicted.
