Preview

Houston is on a roll right now, winning 15 of their last 17 matches to climb up to third in the Western Conference behind powerhouse teams Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs.

The Rockets have extended their winning run to six games after nipping the Oklahoma City Thunder, 118-116, on Thursday night at their home court of Toyota Center, as per ABC News.

It was a battle between two of the top triple-double performers in the league this season as James Harden led Houston past Russell Westbrook's OKC squad.

Harden came two rebounds short of a triple-double with 26 points, eight boards, and 12 assists with a steal and a block despite shooting 6-for-16 from the field. His pass to Nene in the closing moments put the Brazilian center in the charity stripe for the winning free throws.

Head coach Mike D'Antoni's four other starters all scored in double figures as well, namely Nene, Ryan Anderson, Patrick Beverley, and Trevor Ariza who had 18, 12, 11, and 10 points respectively.

Eric Gordon was again sensational off the bench, firing 22 points with five boards and three assists.

Meanwhile, the Magic are reeling as of late with three losses in their last four outings. The team is currently in the fourth from the last place in the East, two-and-a-half games behind eighth-place squad Chicago Bulls.

Orlando was routed by the Atlanta Hawks, 111-92, last Wednesday also at the Amway Center, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Aaron Gordon led head coach Frank Vogel's team with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds with two assists while Elfrid Payton also fired 15 points with four boards, six assists, three steals, and one shot block in a losing effort.

Three bench players scored in double-digits, namely Evan Fournier, Jeff Green, and Nikola Vucevic with 14, 10, and 10 points respectively.

Prediction

The Rockets are 13-6 in away games this season while the Magic are poor at home with a 7-12 record. Houston is a huge favorite to win this one in Orlando.
