"Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" has released the first image of its live-action movie release.

The manga series which is celebrating its 30th anniversary will have a live-action film for its fourth story arc, "Diamond is Unbreakable." The film is slated for release this summer.

The film's Japanese official website has revealed a poster with actor Kento Yamazaki dressed in Josuke's distinct purple suit. The film is reportedly under filming in Japan after wrapping up production in Sitges, Spain.

Some fans who saw the photo were reportedly unhappy with the live-action representation, Japan Today reported.

The film will be directed by Takasi Mike. Yamazaki will be joined by Ryonosuke Kamiki as Koichi Hirose, Nana Komatsu as Yukako Yamagishi, Masaki Okada as Keicho Nijimura, Mackenyu as Okuyasu Nijimura, Yakayuki Yamada as Anjuro Katagiri, Yusuke Iseya as Jotaro Kujo, Alisa Mizuki as Tomoko Higashikata and Jun Kuminimura as Ryohei Higashikata.

For the uninitiated, "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" follows a family whose members are gifted with unique powers to take down supernatural foes. The film adaptation will follow the latest arc of the manga which follows Josuke's adventure after finding out that he is Joseph Joestar's illegitimate son, Comic Book reported.

He will be warned by a man named Jotaro about a group of Stand users that are looking for the mystical Bow and Arrow to acquire powers. Josuke would later team up with Jotaro as they battle a serial killer and a new Stand user named Yoshikage Kira.

Currently, "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" sits as one of the most popular series in Japan. Its print medium is the second-largest manga to date since it was first published in 1987 under Shonen Jump. The series has since sold over 100 million copies in Japan.

For those who are looking to catch up with the series, the anime has covered "Phantom Blood," "Battle Tendency," "Stardust Crusaderes," and "Diamond is Unbreakable" so far.
