Ji Chang Wook is paving his way to the big screen with an upcoming film titled "Fabricated City" with Shim Eun Kyung and Ahn Jae Hong.
Soompi reported Ji Chang Wook was casted for the action film in 2015, and after more than a year of filming and preparations, "Fabricated City" will finally hit the theaters in February.
The upcoming action film marks Ji Chang Wook's debut in the big screen. However, the actor admitted he was doubtful when the role was first offered to him two years ago.
"I was undecided about starring in the movie when I first read the scenario, but after meeting the director and talking with him, I was completely persuaded," he said.
Ji Chang Wook also explained his character in the action film, stating that he never thought of accepting a role for an action project, yet he landed in "Fabricated City."
"I used to play a lot of games when I was in high school. I remember going to the PC room often, so I didn't really have to do anything in preparation for my character who goes to the PC room all the time," the actor added.
The 29-year-old actor revealed he had to go through trainings to effectively play his role in "Fabricated City," Yonhap cited. Ji Chang Wook said, "I made many efforts to make myself look cool when I opened fire in "Fabricated City.""
He added that his character on "The K2" has somehow prepared him for the upcoming action film. Ji Chang Wook played as a mercenary in the drama series. His character was hired to protect the president's illegitimate daughter from the public.
Despite being casted for several action-packed projects, Ji Chang Wook admitted he would want to do away from accepting roles for the action genre in the future.
