Nam Joo Hyuk, who played as Jung Joon Hyung in the recently ended "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," shared reasons why he used to be afraid of appearing in variety shows.
According to Soompi, the 22-year-old actor admitted variety shows scared him during his early days as an actor. "I'm not the type to go looking for variety shows to appear on, Nam Joo Hyuk shared.
He went on, "Honestly I was a bit afraid of them in the beginning because I felt pressured to make people laugh. It's really hard for me."
However, Nam Joo Hyuk gained popularity for his appearances in several variety shows specifically on "Off To School," where he was commended for his bromance with Kangnam.
Despite his worries on variety shows, Nam Joo Hyuk revealed he would be willing to appear on "Three Meals a Day" anytime.
"The show itself is great, but what made it even better was that I had the opportunity to talk to my seniors (Cha Seung Won and Yoo Hae Jin). If it weren't for the show, it would have been hard to have a meal with seniors like them," he said.
Nam Joo Hyuk added he feels comfortable appearing on "Three Meals a Day," where one can just roam around and do usual household routines like cooking and washing the dishes.
On the other hand, Nam Joo Hyuk revealed he would want someone like Bok Joo in real life who would support him in his endeavors, Allkpop reported.
Talking about the character on "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," the actor said he adores someone who would stand by him in whatever he does.
Nam Joo Hyuk also revealed he is currently single and not seeing anyone, adding that he does not have an ideal type at the moment.
