TWICE's Chaeyoung arrived at the 31st Golden Disk Awards on Friday, showing off her short hair; however, netizens seemed to dislike the idol's new hairdo.
According to Allkpop, Chaeyoung chopped her bob hair and settled for a boyish haircut almost similar to co-member Jungyeon. Although the TWICE member is still looking pretty with her new look, fans expressed disprove on her decision to cut her locks.
Many netizens said short hair does not fit on Chaeyoung, while others stated the TWICE member looked older than her age before of her new hairdo. "It really looks bad. Please wear extensions," a commenter said.
Despite the hate comments she is getting from the netizens for her short hair, Chaeyoung's fans came to rescue the idol and said she is looking more gorgeous with her new look.
"I think she looks absolutely gorgeous with it; and she can do whatever she wants," a fan said. Another one wrote, "Not every idol wants to have long hair all the time. I think she looks beautiful with the haircut," asking the netizens to calm down.
On a more positive note, Chaeyoung and TWICE won the Digital Daesang at the 31st Golden Disk Awards just less than two years after making their debut, Soompi cited. The nine-member girl group was officially introduced on Oct. 20, 2015 with the release of a mini-album titled "The Story Begins."
"It's such an honor to receive this award in front of our seniors. It's only been about one and a half years since our debut, but thank you so much for giving us such a great award. We'll work even harder from here on out, TWICE said in the acceptance speech.
TWICE is known for their hit songs "Cheer Up" under "Page Two" album and "TT" under "TWICEcoaster: Lane 1."
Congratulations, TWICE!
