EXO once again won the "Album of the Year" award at the "31st Golden Disk Awards." This is the fourth time the group won the said award.

On Jan. 14, South Korea's top musicians and pop stars gathered at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Goyang for the second day of the "31st Golden Disk Awards." During the show, the group won the Disk Daesang (Album of the Year) award for four consecutive years, Allkpop reported.

EXO's achievement is the first time in history that an artists has won the Daesang award for four consecutive years. Beating the legendary Kim Gun Mo who won three straight Daesang's from 1994 to 1996.

The award has been dominated by SM artists since another artist has won the award for nine straight years. EXO has been working so hard the past year that they truly deserved every award they get.

Meanwhile, one of the group's member, Kai will be starring in the upcoming drama "Andante." The 23-year old singer will be playing the male lead role Lee Si Kyung.

Consequently, his agency, SM Entertainment, confirmed the news last Jan. 11. "Kai will be starring in KBS' pre-produced drama 'Andante'," as per Soompi.

The drama marks Kai's first lead role in a television drama. Previously, the singer played as one of the lead in Lotte's web dram, "Seven First Kisses."

Female lead role of "Andante" will be played by actress Jung Da Bin. The actress agency, R's Company, also confirmed that news, stating, "It is true that Jung Da Bin will be starring in 'Andante.' Please look forward to it."

Helmed by producing director Park Ki Ho, "Andante" will have sixteen episodes and is slated for release in the second half of 2017. The drama is written by writers Park Sun Ja and Kwon Ki Kyung, who is also behind the "Sharp" series.
