On-set images of the upcoming movie "Pacific Rim": Uprising has been released. Featuring the John Boyega from the previous Star Wars; Force Awaken, the "Pacific Rim" 2 is about to hit the big screen after the long wait.
"Pacific Rim": Uprising is the title of the 1st sequel of the successful movie "Pacific Rim" which was seen last 2013. The movie is now in the process and it was caught filming in Australia.
As seen in the footage sliders included in the video below, John Boyega is wearing the presumably Jaeger Suit, the pilot suit known to wear by the pilots of those giant robots in the story. There are also other images shown by the GameSpot in their report.
The new Jaeger Pilot Suit that John Boyega wears is composed of new materials. Compared to the full-on armored suit used in the first film, Boyega and other pilots are wearing the Jaeger Pilot Suit made in spandex suit, with armor plating design as the Comic Book confirmed.
Guillermo Del Toro talked about the hiring of John Boyega, citing that he thinks Boyega is the best man for the job of the main role. Trust is the reason why Boyega have the role, as Del Toro said that he knew that John Boyega is the man that would definitely bring the "Pacific Rim": Uprising to a whole new level.
"Pacific Rim": Uprising was rumored to have troubles recently as the current producer Guillermo Del Toro is reportedly transferring his position to Steven DeKnight. The issue has been addressed and Del Toro remains the producer and DeKnight will focus on directing the film.
Previously called "Pacific Rim": Maelstorm, the producers and staffs ended up announcing the film's official title, the "Pacific Rim": Uprising. Joining the new cast for the movie are Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day who are both reprising their roles from the first film.
Along with John Boyega, new cast such as Scott Eastwood, Zhang Jin and Jing Titan have agreed to appear in a respective key role. The movie is set to release on February 23rd of 2018.
