The New York Knicks are adjusting their current rotation as they about to put Kristaps Porzingis at the starting center position. In this case, Carmelo Anthony will be playing as a full-time power forward for the Knicks.

The ESPN reported that the New York Knicks will be changing their team rotation starting next week. The Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek wants Kristaps Porzingis to start at the center while Carmelo Anthony will be playing as a power forward.

The CBS Sports mentioned in their report that Kristaps Porzingis might start as a center against the Celtics. Unfortunately, Porzingis was not seen in the action and is expected to play this Thursday against the Washington Wizards.

It is no surprise that the Knicks are starting to change the looks of their starting lineup, this is due to their current losing situation. The Knicks is currently struggling on the defensive end, an issue that they are currently working on.

Having Ron Baker in the starting shooting guard, Knicks obviously found a new offensive backcourt player. Ron Baker got his shot in the starting position as Carmelo Anthony suggested early this week.

Over the past week, the New York Knicks struggles a lot of their past games. The've been in the sports headline last 2 weeks until today, due to their controversial lose, including the buzzer beaters of the Sixers and the Bucks against them.

Kristaps Porzingis is known to be a tenacious rebounder and being a hard working player makes him stand out. He could be a threat in the post, while he can also stretch the floor with his shooting prowess.

On the other hand, Carmelo Anthony already played as a power forward before and has been efficient offensively. Having Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis at the frontcourt would provide a good offensive rotation for the team, however, the Knicks might lose their paint protection when it comes to defense.

The New York Knicks are expected to upgrade their status as they add some great players during the off-season. The team had a great offensive fire power during this season, but they have been criticized due to their lack of defensive efforts.
