"Resident Evil 7" is about to come in the next couple of days and several RE fans are already prepared on its launch date. However, Capcom announced that the upcoming "Resident Evil 7" is not coming to the Nintendo Switch.
According to the recent reports, Capcom made an announcement that they committed to produce games for the Nintendo Switch, however, they have just announced that "Resident Evil 7" is not part of the plan. Capcom did not mention any reason why they would not bring the "Resident Evil 7" to the Nintendo Switch.
The statement was made by the Resident Evil producer Masachika Kawata, citing that the Nintendo Switch is a very unique video game console. Kawata confirmed that their company has no plans as of the moment in porting the "Resident Evil 7" to the Nintendo Switch.
Although Capcom confirmed that the game will not be seen in the Nintendo Switch, they will remain as a partner of the Nintendo Switch and will continue to provide games as they have said earlier. For the meantime, the only thing that fans should expect are remake titles as for least.
As per the Game Rant, Nintendo will be competing against the big time Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One, this means that they really need to work things out specially on game titles. They need to secure great titles created by some of the best game developing team around the world.
Game titles with the likes of the "Resident Evil 7" and the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda would definitely give the Nintendo Switch a boost in the market once it's released. Nintendo needs to work on some great titles aside from the games featured in the Nintendo Switch trailer and on the Nintendo Switch Presentation.
The GameSpot confirmed that the "Resident Evil 7" will be hitting the market this Jan. 24 and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The Nintendo Switch already announced the official release date, which is set for March 3. The video game console is now available via pre-order for $300.
