After the success of "The People v O.J. Simpson" on "American Crime Story," Ryan Murphy is out again to talk about another controversy that hit America back in the 90s. It is none other than the sex scandal that happened between former President Bill Clinton and his secretary, Monica Lewinsky. Having said that, Selena Gomez might just be in the running to play the role of Lewinsky.

Nothing is set in stone just yet because casting directors and Murphy himself are still shopping around, as to who would be the perfect fit for the Lewinsky character. Yahoo shared some of the celebrities that they think could play the role and one of them is Selena Gomez.

Monica Lewinsky was only 24 when the scandal broke out in 1998. People say she looked older for her age, but given that it was the 90s, it was actually quite a trend or normal for anyone to look older than their age. The style and pretty much every woman in that generation kind of looked the same because they were all going for one common look.

Since this is the case, there is a chance that the actresses that casting directors might pick to play this role might just be a little bit older than the early 20s. However, there is nothing that makeup can do, which is why Selena Gomez is still in the running to play the role of a secretary who had an inappropriate relationship with the President of the U.S.A.

"American Crime Story" producers are not just focused on this new story because according to CBS News, Ryan Murphy's team has other topics working on for the next seasons of the show. Two of the projects that were leaked are "Katrina," the hurricane that hit New Orleans and "Versace," the murder of famous designer, Gianni Versace.
