Unlike her character in "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" who made us fall in love, Lee Sung Kyung admitted in a recent interview that she has no interest in dating as for the moment.
According to Korea Joongang Daily, the 26-year-old candidly answered that she prefers to spend some alone time, rather than go on dates. "I'm not really interested in men, which is a characteristic common among single people," she said.
Lee Sung Kyung continued, "I enjoy and look forward to the weekend, when I can spend time alone. I even feel happy while drinking coffee alone. I have no fantasy about men and treat them like friends."
The model-turned-actress shared there are instances when she feels alone and wants to have someone to rely on; however, Lee Sung Kyung thought that having a boyfriend is not the cure for loneliness.
Instead of rushing into a relationship, the "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" star added it would be best for her to date when she has plenty of time.
Soompi reported Lee Sung Kyung has previously revealed that she likes it when a guy who is true to his feelings. "I have the type of personality where I honestly express how I feel. But I don't hold grudges. If I also liked them, I probably wouldn't hide it," she said.
Lee Sung Kyung started out as a model before she made her acting debut with "It's Okay, That's Love" in 2014. She also appeared in "Doctors" and "Cheese in the Trap" before she rose to fame for playing as Kim Bok Joo.
The celebrity revealed she previously doubted herself for the role in "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo"; however, the Lee Sung Kyung was inspired when the drama's director told her that she has the potential to take the lead role.
