The Google Pixel 2 launch date is yet to be confirmed but the pace at which Google is working to bring out this new device indicates that it will be powerful, also they are working on a version that is cheaper and equally powerful. It is believed that Google is working on plans to waterproof Pixel 2 to further increase the durability of the device.
Other highlight of the Pixel 2 device is expected to be its awesome camera abilities. The smartphone will have a better camera and is expected to deliver good performance even in low light conditions.
The new phone is expected to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 83X chips or perhaps Intel's for better processing, as reported on Stuff. Additionally, Google has been playing with the idea of developing its personalized chipset as well.
However, since the idea is still in the testing phase, the chances of it being included in Google Pixel. Additionally, if Google plans to include its own chipset, it is likely to charge more making the phone expensive.
Google may also be working on Pixel 2B, a relatively cheaper version with many of the awesome features of Pixel. Forbes further elaborates that Google Pixel 2B will be targeted towards developing countries and areas where demand for budgeted phones is higher.
Reports also indicate that sales of Google Pixel spiked considerably during the holiday season. Some reports also indicate that stores lacked the inventory to meet the rising customer demands.
However, none of these figures are official. Google may also be working on a second generation device. Until the search engine giant confirms the developments, fans have no choice but to speculate.
There is a possibility that the cheaper version will be available in the South East Asian markets.
