Octavia starts the life of an assassin in "The 100" Season 4. Showrunner Jason Rothenberg revealed that she has forgotten what Lincoln taught her about being a good warrior.
Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) takes a dark turn in "The 100" Season 4, following Lincoln's death and all the chaos that happened in her life. She starts in a dark place and does horrible things, some uncalled for, just so she can fill the dark void.
According to Rothenberg, Octavia has forgotten what it is to be a good warrior--something that Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) taught her. He had taught her when not to kill. She completely forgets all about his teachings in "The 100" Season 4 and decides to become an assassin instead.
"She's kind of becoming an assassin, and realizing the only time she feels alive is when she's close to death or when she's causing someone else's death. It's what she's good at, and she's going to have to reconcile the fact that she's lost her way," Rothenberg told Screener TV.
The series creator previously revealed why Octavia decides to take this dark path in "The 100" Season 4. He told TV Line that she believes that being an assassin is the only way she can hide the pain from losing Lincoln. Rothenberg revealed that Octavia will do whatever it takes not to show her true emotions. The showrunner added that fans should expect her storyline to get darker even before it gets lighter.
The full trailer for "The 100" Season 4 already revealed just how dark Octavia has become in the instalment. The preview shows her on a killing spree and some of the other Grounders even fear her. The Grounders did not call her the "Sky Ripper" for nothing. After all, she used to belong to the Sky People.
