Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton shocked the world when they announced that they were getting divorced. The "Over You" singer even admitted that she started drinking more alcohol when she got divorced.

The former country couple, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert made it difficult for their fans to understand the reason behind their divorce. The ex-couple decided not to talk about the split to the press back in 2015. Yet, Lambert admits that she placed all her thoughts about it on her "The Weight of These Wings" music album.

The "Vice" singer recently performed at the Joe's Bar in Chicago last week, as per Fox News. She did not hesitate to give her fans and listeners the insight behind her next song.

"I got divorced so I started drinking a little extra," Lambert states before she sings her song called, Ugly Lights"

Lambert even shares that she sits at the bar and drinks to find inspiration. "I found myself in Midtown in Nashville three nights in a row at like last call and with the lights coming on, and I would be sitting there. So I wrote a song about it."

The award winning country singer even shared that she opted to speak out and put everythings she wants to say on tape. Lambert even revealed that all the happenings of her life in the past years were included in her new album.

In the meantime, Rolling Stone shares that Lambert's new song called, "Woke Up This Morning" got a few help from her father, Rick Lambert and beau, Anderson East and former "The Voice" contestant Gwen Sebastian. They worked together on the song for a long time and she jokingly asked the crowd not to tell them if it sucks.

The performance of Lambert at Joe's Bar was reportedly a one-night only rehearsal for her upcoming tour, Highway Vagabond. The ticket proceeds will be given to the "Miranda Lambert Women Creators Scholarship" at Nashville's Belmont University. Lambert gives scholarship to a female student who wants to pursue a career in the music industry every year.

Blake Shelton's ex-wife, Miranda Lambert has been nominated for two "Grammy Awards" at this year's event.
