Taron Egerton, the breakout star of "Kingsman: The Secret Service" revealed that the sequel to the movie will re-use a deleted scene from the first one. This is one of the things that fans could expect, besides Elton John's appearance in the sequel, which is revealed in the movie's poster.
In an interview, Egerton said there is a particular deleted scene from "Kingsman: The Secret Service" that he believes shouldn't have been removed, Dark Horizon reported. He said that the scene would come out in the sequel, but he didn't give additional details on what scene it was.
Meanwhile, the new poster that was released May last year revealed that Elton John would be in the new movie, Movieweb reported. Edgerton said that the legendary music artist was in the first film as himself where he rescued a certain character. He also said that the film's director Matthew Vaughn like Elton John and knows that the musician can bring a certain tone that would be just right for the movie.
The young actor didn't specify if the deleted scene that would be featured in the new movie would be the one that involves Elton John. He also didn't specify what role Elton John will play in the sequel. Fans can only hope to see the musician when the trailer for "Kingsman 2" comes out.
Edgerton also pointed out that "Kingsman 2" will have underlying political themes. These themes could easily touch issues on the U.S. Presidential elections and the similarly controversial U.K. "Brexit" vote. He said that the franchise tackles global issues with overpopulation as the main subtle message in the first one.
"Kingsman 2" is yet to come out on October 16, after being postponed from June 16, but there are already rumors circulating about a possible "Kingsman 3." Halle Berry, who reportedly signed in as the CIA head in "Kingsman 2" is also rumored to have the choice to be back for the third instalment of the franchise.
However, Egerton said director Matthew Vaughn isn't getting way ahead of himself, which means a third instalment is not yet confirmed. Egerton said Vaughn doesn't want to count the chickens before they hatched and that he doesn't want to jeopardize the whole franchise.
