Preview

Atlanta has been playing inconsistently as of late, alternating winning and losing in their last six matches. The team has remained in the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference table, though, only a half-game behind fourth-place team Washington Wizards and one-and-a-half games ahead of sixth-seeded squad Indiana Pacers.

The Hawks are coming off an embarrassing 116-93 defeat to lowly team Miami Heat last Wednesday on the road at the AmericanAirlines Arena, as per USA Today.

Kent Bazemore had 14 points and two steals during the loss while Dennis Schroder had 12 points and two assists. Tim Hardaway Jr. started and chipped in 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Starting center Dwight Howard grabbed 11 boards but only had six points while the usually reliable Paul Millsap had an off-night with only nine points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Mike Dunleavy fired 11 points and grabbed six rebounds in 20 minutes coming off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Rockets went back home after a five-game road trip to crush the Sacramento Kings, 105-83, at the Toyota Center on Tuesday night, Yahoo Sports reported.

Ryan Anderson top-scored with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists while Clint Capela added 12 points and 11 boards. James Harden seemed to have rested with 10 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists.

Two players fired in double figures off the bench, namely Eric Gordon and Nene who had 17 and 11 points respectively.

Houston lost three of their five road games before winning at home as they continued to settle in the third spot in the Western Conference standings, three games behind the San Antonio Spurs and three-and-a-half games ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Prediction

The Hawks are 14-11 in away games this season while the Rockets are 18-5 at home. Houston is predicted to win a close one over Atlanta in this match.
