Ashley Argota joins the ‘Girl Meets World’ cast as a guest star for Season 3

"Girl Meets World" cast continues to expand. Disney channel's coming off age television sitcom will feature Ashley Argota in guest starring role. She will also be joined by Luke Benward and Claudia Lee. Read on for details.

According to The Wrap, the American-Filipino actress Argota along with Benward and Lee will appear when the show returns for Season 3 this year. As the show moves on to the high school in the upcoming instalment, the leading characters Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard), Maya Hart (Sabrina Carpenter) and other will be coming across some new people.

Argota, Benward and Lee are said to be some of the new faces they will meet as they start a new journey. Buzz is that they will play the role of their seniors in high school.  

23-year-old Argota is best known for her role as Lulu in Nickelodeon series "True Jackson, VP" and "The Fosters." She has also appeared studio albums "Dreams Come True" and "Ashley."

Benward, 20, has appeared in "How to Eat Fried Worms" and "Minutemen." He is noted for his role Will Cloud in the movie "Cloud 9." As for Lee, 19, she is known for her work in "Hart of Dixie" and "Zeke and Luther."

The report notes that the production for Season 3 of "Girl Meets World" is in the process. It is expected to premiere in spring 2016.

"Girl Meets World" is a sequel to "Boy Meets World" set in New York City. It follows the lives of Riley and her best friend Maya as they deal with everyday challenges of their teenage lives.

The show is currently nearing the end of its second season. After a brief hiatus, it will return with its penultimate segment of Season 2. According to Cartermatt, Maya and Farkle land themselves in trouble for cheating in an examination.   

In the meantime, Auggie (August Maturo) tries to find the answer to the most important question-what he want to be when he grows up. Will Auggie be able to find out what his heart wants?
