Marie Avgeropoulos talked about Octavia being an assassin in "The 100" Season 4 following Lincoln's death. She also hinted at a new romance for her character in the instalment.

Octavia starts in a dark path in "The 100" Season 4 because of Lincoln's death. Avgeropoulos admitted that her character finds it hard to move on and be human again after she lost the love of her life.

"Octavia's never received any love from any men before other than Bellamy (Bob Morley). So to have such a love like that enter her life and then leave so horrifically, it affected her in a really negative way," Avgeropoulos told Screener TV.

Suffice to say, Lincoln's death prompted Octavia never to reveal her emotions. Despite the pain that she feels from Lincoln's death, she vows never to let anyone see it. She believes that the only way she can numb the pain is through drastic measures.

Octavia, a Skaikru, turns into an assassin in "The 100" Season 4. This is why people gave her the name "Sky Ripper." Avgeropoulos told the publication that her character believes, that killing and executing people is the drug that can help numb the pain she feels over Lincoln's death.

Regardless, Avgeropoulos echoed what showrunner Jason Rothenberg told TV Line about Octavia eventually finding the light. The actress hinted that Octavia does not stay an assassin for long in "The 100" Season 4. At some point, she snaps out of it and she begins her soul-searching and grieves for the second time.

Perhaps, when Octavia has finally moved on from Lincoln is when she finds someone new to love. Avgeropoulos teased that Octavia makes a "pretty significant interaction" with one of the men from another tribe in "The 100" Season 4. However, she declined to reveal any more details to avoid spoilers.
